Job PurposeThe role of a Payments Account Executive is to engage with inbound and outbound leads, align customer needs with our AP/AR automation and payment solutions, convey the value proposition of Zenwork Payments and negotiate and close contracts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Payments Account Executive (AE) will be at the forefront of introducing customers the benefits of Zenwork’s payments and AP/AR automation solution.  This AE’s mission is to drive customer acquisition and revenue by articulating the value, showcasing the capabilities of the payments platform, demonstrating the ROI of Zenwork’s Payments solution, and selling its transformative potential. 

This AE will adopt a consultative sales approach to uncover pain points or opportunities for improvement in potential clients' financial processes. Where these opportunities are identified, this AE will lead the conversation, the demonstration, and finally negotiate and close the deal. Additionally, this AE will build and maintain strong relationships across various levels within target organizations, including key decision-makers. 

This role requires close collaboration with the Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to align strategies and provide feedback on market trends, competitive threats, and unmet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Developing Zenwork Payments’ Customer Base: Proactively engage with inbound and outbound leads to drive new business and customer acquisition. 
  • Articulate Value Proposition: Effectively communicate the ROI and transformative benefits of Zenwork Payment solution to CFOs, VPs of Finance, and Controllers. 
  • Lead End-to-End Sales Cycle: Manage the entire sales process—from initial contact and needs analysis to demo, proposal, negotiation, and closing. 
  • Develop and Deliver Impactful Demos: Conduct compelling product demonstrations that showcase the capabilities and benefits of Zenwork Payments Solution to decision-makers. 
  • Meet and Exceed Sales Targets: Consistently achieve monthly and annual sales quotas by converting leads to satisfied customers. 
  • Build Strong Relationships: Develop and nurture relationships with multiple stakeholders within target organizations, including executive roles. 
  • Sales Forecasting: Accurately forecast sales performance and report on key metrics and progress towards goals. 
  • Market Intelligence: Provide feedback to the Sales, Marketing, and Product teams on customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape. 
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Marketing to align lead generation strategies and with Product to provide feedback on customer needs. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Share best practices, insights, and strategies with the team to enhance the overall effectiveness of the sales process. 

Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
2+ years of proven success in B2B sales, preferably in SaaS, fintech, or payment solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Consultative Selling: Use a consultative approach to understand customers' pain points in their AP/AR and payment processes and present Zenwork Payments as the ideal solution. 
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of AP/AR processes or financial software.  
  • Sales Skills: History of exceeding sales targets through a consultative selling approach. 
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to C-level executives.  
  • Tech Proficiency: Proficient in using CRM software like Salesforce or HubSpot and comfortable with virtual meeting tools.
